A mindful walk is not a goal or training plan. It is a chance to move at your own pace for a while.
Start where you can pause
Choose a short familiar route. For the first minute, change nothing — simply notice your pace and breathing.
Let your gaze travel
Look to the left, then to the right, then upward. You are not hunting for a special view; the point is to be present.
Listen to your steps
For a few steps, hear the sound your movement makes. The ground may be dry, soft, crisp or wet.
Give yourself a turning point
About halfway through, stop and look back. The same path can feel entirely different in the other direction.
Finish without forcing a conclusion
When the walk ends, choose one thing to take with you: a sound, a colour, a smell, or simply a calmer rhythm.
If being alone or moving in a place does not feel safe, choose another route or go with someone. This page is not medical advice.
Any future public walks at Allika will be published only when they are actually planned.
