Allika A-10 in 1935: a boundary moves, but the histories do not merge
Two 1935 plans name Allika no. A-10 and show small land pieces changing sides with the former manor. At first this looks like a missing chapter about Allika. It is, in fact, the story of another precisely named parcel — and a lesson in reading maps closely.
Correction, 17 September 2026. The earlier identification of Piiritusevabriku A11 / property 12526 with present-day Allika has been withdrawn: it is a different plot in Maidla. Its plan and four building symbols cannot be treated as the plan or buildings of the present farmyard. The earlier research stage is preserved below. The new working identification is Allika A10 / 2067, based on the 1935 plans; this does not establish legal ownership.

The 1935 plans are almost frames from a very slow film: a small piece of land leaves the manor and joins Allika A-10; another moves back. On paper they are letters and lines, in life they were boundaries people walked to.
The name Allika is familiar enough to make us want to call the map a biography of the present farm. But it says A-10 and property 2067. The present yard has another exact anchor: Piiritusevabriku A-11 and property 12526.
That gap is not a disappointment. It shows how dense the locality was: similar names, neighbouring parcels, different pasts. Merging them would make a smooth but false tale.
The map stays here as an honest neighbouring story. It helps us understand land around Allika while teaching us not to take another parcel's history for our own.
Plans dated 24 May 1935 name Allika no. A-10 (property no. 2067). They mark Lit C, separated from the manor and attached to A-10, and Lit A10a, separated from A-10 and attached to the manor.
The present yard has a different anchor: the 1932 plan for Piiritusevabriku no. A-11 / property 12526. The sources give different numbers and descriptions.
A line on a map is not merely a thin line. It may mean fields, access, roads and the practical negotiations of neighbours. That is why such sheets are rich evidence for the history of a locality.
But this is where a familiar word can mislead. Allika invites us to carry A-10's whole story to the present yard. We keep the map as an honest neighbouring story, not a ready proof.
No record has linked Allika A-10 / property 2067 to Piiritusevabriku A-11 / property 12526 or to the modern Allika Farm.
The plans do not establish the participants or reasons for the boundary change beyond what they draw.
